About the show

The multi-CMA Award-winners join forces for a special CMA Songwriter Series: Ladies Night Out. Evans and McBride bring out some of Nashville’s best songwriters including Gretchen Peters (“Independence Day” recorded by McBride), Aimee Mayo (“Let’s Make Love” recorded by Faith Hill) and The Warren Brothers (“Red Solo Cup” recorded by Toby Keith). The ladies perform career hits including Evans’ “Born to Fly” and “Stronger” and McBride’s “Teenage Daughters” and “Independence Day.” Recorded at the Marathon Music Works in Nashville.

“I’m always honored anytime I get to be in the presence of the amazing songwriters that call Nashville home. Whether it’s in a writing room or performing on stage with them, it reminds me of what drives my love of this genre and inspires me to make great music,” said Evans. “Getting to share the stage with Martina and all of the amazing writers on public television’s Front and Center and the CMA Songwriter Series was an incredible night that I’ll never forget.” – Sara Evans

“I’ve known Sara for a long time and it was a lot of fun to get to share the stage with her,” said McBride. “I also loved the fact that we got to hear from the songwriter’s themselves. Having them onstage with us made the evening really special.” -Martina McBride
